Famous Butter Chicken (aka, Ritz Cracker Chicken)

In a bowl, mix:

  • cream of chicken soup
  • sour cream
  • chicken broth

Stir until:

  • smooth
  • no lumps

👉 Texture should be like thick cream

🫗 Step 8: Add Sauce

  • Pour sauce evenly OVER the chicken

⚠️ Important:

  • Do NOT mix it
  • Do NOT cover completely

👉 You want:

  • Some crunchy top still exposed

🔥 Step 9: Bake

  • Put dish in the oven (middle rack)
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes

How to know it’s done:

  • Top = golden brown
  • Sauce = bubbling
  • Chicken inside = white (not pink)

👉 Internal temp: ~75°C (165°F)

⏱️ Step 10: Rest Before Serving

  • Let it sit for 5–10 minutes after baking

👉 This helps:

  • sauce thicken
  • flavors settle

🍽️ How to Serve

Best with:

  • Rice
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Pasta
  • Steamed vegetables

👉 Spoon extra sauce from the dish on top 😋

🔥 PRO TIPS (Important!)

  • For EXTRA crunch:
    • Add more crushed crackers on top before baking
  • For more flavor:
    • Add garlic powder, black pepper, paprika
  • For richer taste:
    • Use heavy cream instead of part of the broth
  • For juicier chicken:
    • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts

😍 What Makes It Special

  • Super easy (beginner-friendly)
  • Creamy + buttery + crunchy combo
  • Comfort food classic
