Rosemary Garlic Bread (Soft & Golden)
🧾 Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water (not hot)
- ¼ cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (or 1 tsp dried)
- Optional: pinch of flaky salt for topping
👩🍳 Instructions
- Activate the yeast
Mix warm water, milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. - Make the dough
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. - First rise
Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, until doubled in size. - Prepare the garlic rosemary butter
Mix melted butter with garlic and rosemary. - Shape the bread
Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf or rolls, and place on a baking tray. Brush generously with the garlic rosemary butter. - Second rise
Let it rest for 20–30 minutes. - Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. - Finish
Brush again with remaining butter and sprinkle with flaky salt if you like.
